About the College


Cox's Bazar Medical College is a government medical school in Bangladesh, established in 2008. It is located in Cox's Bazar, the magnificent sea-side town in Bangladesh. Approximately 60 students every year get admitted to this college every academic year. It offers a five years MBBS course. Currently, around 300 students are studying in this medical college. Permanent Campus has been established in 30 acres at Jhilongja, Cox's Bazar, which offers a tremendous atmosphere.

There are two separate Hostels for Male & Female students with all sorts of facilities. The students can perform all kinds of professional competence at 250 bedded Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital, the temporary facility for Medical College Hospital. It has all the significant branches of medical education.

At present, 76 teachers are working in different departments. Professor Dr. Anupam Barua is the current principal.

Cox's Bazar Medical College is affiliated with Chittagong Medical University. The students receive an MBBS degree from Chittagong University after completing their fifth year and passing the final Professional MBBS examination. The Professional examinations are held under the university, and results are given thereby. Internal examinations are also taken at regular intervals, namely card completions, term-end, and regular assessments.
